What is the Advanced Placement (AP) Track?
The AP Track is a program offered at the Jerusalem School, created by the College Board, which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities often grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations. A student who has elected to do this track must successfully complete all their academic classes from 10th and 12th grade and in addition do the following:
(a) SAT I examination scoring a minimum of 450 on each of the three sections of the exam.
(b) SAT II examinations scoring 450 minimum in (7) individual subjects
Literary Scientific
-2 Sciences: -3 Sciences:
Physics, Chemistry, Biology (E or M) Physics, Chemistry, Biology (E or M)
-2 Maths: -2 Maths:
Math IC, Math IIC Math IC, Math IIC
-1 History: -1 History:
U.S. History or World H U.S. History or World History
-1 Literature -1 Literature
-1 Other from the various Languages/Arts
(c) Successfully passing two years of languages (Hebrew, Arabic, possible elective languages as well)
(d) TOEFL examination scoring a minimum of 500.
*To receive the full Honors Diploma, a student must score 550 or higher on all sections of the SAT I examination and on all SAT II subject examinations.
