Dear JAS Community,
Beyond our commitment to supporting the school's development as a center of excellence, there is an undeniable energy within this team that we are eager for others to experience. JAS is a vision-driven institution dedicated to meeting the evolving educational needs of K-12 students. Our aim is to empower students to become the architects of their own destinies. Our students are at the heart of everything we do. We prioritize collaborative learning, fostering positive relationships, and building the capacity of our students to thrive in the future world. The values of our school serve as a guiding light for both our staff and students. We encourage our students to cultivate respectful relationships with their peers, teachers, and the broader community. Our teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience at JAS. We highly value their expertise, skills, and dedication to nurturing talent. The majority of our senior school faculty hold Master's degrees, reflecting our commitment to providing an excellent education. We recognize the crucial role that parents play in their children's success. We understand that strong partnerships between home and school are essential for student achievement, and we are dedicated to working closely with you to support your child's education. Our alumni are a testament to the effectiveness of a JAS education. Sixty percent of our alumni have secured placements in universities in the USA and abroad, spanning a wide range of disciplines. Many of them now hold positions with prestigious organizations both locally and internationally, validating and inspiring our ongoing efforts. We are committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative spirit within our school community. Together, we will build upon the traditions of the past and embrace the challenges of the future with innovation and enthusiasm. May we continue to provide our students with strong roots like the Olive Tree and empower them with the wings to conquer the world! Sincerely, JAS Administration |

The Jerusalem American School Internationally Minded, Uniquely Jerusalem
Our unique situation creates an opportunity to reflect deeply, both on who we are, and who we want to become. To consider what is distinctive about the school and to cherish and nurture a sense of identity, which is simultaneously mindful of the narratives of the past and aspirational about the shape of the future and our students’ place in shaping it.
The Jerusalem American School (JAS) is a place that invites and celebrates diversity; a school that embraces the unmatched opportunities for teaching and learning that come with living in one of the world’s great cities; a school that draws on best practice in international education; and a school that is eager to share its stories with the world.
The Jerusalem American School is distinguished by core characteristics that reflect the values and traditions of the Palestinian people, which inform and inspire an educational experience that is internationally-minded, uniquely Jerusalem, outward looking and research-led in its commitment to educational innovation and committed to the happiness and success of all its students.
