Inspiring Change Agency

Student Leadership @ JAS
JAS’s commitment to student leadership and agency across the school is reflected in our Student Council. The Student Council comprises sixteen elected representatives including a student body president, a vice president, and fourteen committee chairs. The committees include The Sustainability Committee, The Peace Committee, The School Policies Committee, The Communication and Media Committee, The Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) Committee, The Sports Committee, and the Visual and Performing Art Committee. Each committee is led by two committee chairs from grades 10th through 12th and consists of five members representing each grade from 8th to 12th grade in addition to the two leaders. The Student body president and vice president work closely with the administration to represent the voices of the students and inform, influence and impact decisions made by the school.
Education breeds confidence.
Confidence breeds hope.
Hope breeds peace.
