Student of the Month
JHS Student of the Month Nomination Form
Teachers please nominate one boy and one girl from grades, 7th – 9th and 10th - 12th, to be honored for his/her outstanding achievements in Leadership, Citizenship, and Scholarship. Here are descriptions of how to define the qualities we are looking for in a Jerusalem School Student of the Month.
Leadership:
Student is liked and respected by most of the members of his/her class; is looked up to by others when something must be decided; not afraid to take a risk; is dependable; can take charge of a group; influences others to work towards desirable goals; is a leader in several kinds of activities. A leader stands out in a crowd for doing something positive through words and/or examples.
Citizenship:
Student has a good sense of humor; is not negatively critical of others; accepts criticism; is coachable; is polite; obeys rules; follows directions; is a good sport; helps others; is honest. A good citizen is someone who behaves not only in the classroom but also in the hallways, canteen, and during breaks.
Scholarship:
Student uses common sense well; shows an interest in a wide range of things; asks intelligent questions; uses vocabulary effectively; achieves at or above ability level work and makes up work without needing to be reminded often; attempts above grade level work and will “go the extra mile.”
Given this information, please select the students (with their first and last names) you believe best represent the caliber and character of a student that should represent Jerusalem High School for the previous month.
