The community of alumni and students of the Jerusalem American School are passionate and successful. They are focussed on academic learning as well as other types of learning, and they have chosen different paths in their lives and careers- sharing the same belief that peace begins with oneself. Today, graduates of the Jerusalem American school are successful in different aspects of their lives and here are some of the students’ stories.
Case in point
Dana Al-Qaq is a valedictorian graduate of the Jerusalem American School, class of 2014. She went on to study law at Cardiff University in the UK, earning a scholarship for her outstanding performance and graduating with a First Class Degree. Additionally, as a part of her extracurricular learning, she worked in a law office that dealt with asylum and refugee cases. Right after graduating from Cardiff, Dana managed to get in the elite University of Cambridge despite the very competitive process to do her Masters in Corporate Law. She specialised in corporate law and other complex corporate issues. Dana was the first from our country and among the youngest students to join this program, still, she graduated amongst the top of her class with a First Class Degree. Dana returned to Jerusalem in 2018, learnt Hebrew, and successfully passed the 9 Israeli Entry Law Bar Exams to be able to work in Jerusalem.
